Eustis Heights Elementary has restarted their garden program and we couldn’t be more thrilled. Just take a look at these students grow!
Eustis Heights previously had a garden club who did a fantastic job. First step… new garden beds filled with a rich blend of compost and bedding mix. Thank you, Black Kow! These students were thrilled with their delivery of soil and compost.
These students know that plants like soft fluffy beds so they’ve taken great care to mix and blend, rake and smooth as they prepare for planting.
What a great day. Next up, students will begin planting their cool season varieties of fruits and vegetables. Can’t wait!
Besides, this soil duty is tough business! But now it’s time for planting and irrigation work.
The students planted a mix of seeds and seedlings in their first school garden.
They also installed the Mister Landscaper irrigation system. It’s super easy and super effective.
Just look at this gorgeous red sail lettuce. It’s delicious, healthy, and lovely!!
