The Windy Hill Middle School students are in the process of planting their spring garden. Built of cement blocks, it needs a bit of weeding and soil, but then they’re good to go.
Our weather is unpredictable, so they’ll be transplanting these once the threat of cold temperatures has passed.
In addition to corn, they’re planting peppers, eggplant, beans, and herbs.
And because the garden is a popular place on campus, the kids have decided to spruce it up a bit, by planting wildflowers within the cement blocks.
Very creative! And once these are blooming, I think it will truly be gorgeous.
Can’t wait to see their progress. Stay tuned!
